He moreso gets flak for his behavior and statements in more recent years (after his benzo incident and recovery). This, in addition ot his wife getting cancer during this time and the general whirlwind surrounding his life sort of broke him and he has barely recovered from the pit he was in mentally. I don't blame the man for cracking in the ways he has, but the point stands that he simultaneously has less resolve, but also much more venom to his bite than he used to. Makes him more divisive and confrontational than he used to be, which somewhat takes away from his contructive analysis and reasonable, minimally emotionally vitriolic manner of reasoning at times. Even in the times where he can hold himself together, he occasionally gets lost in analysis to the point of overanalysis, and thus almost forgetting what he was arguing to begin with (watch Jubilee's Jordan Peterson vs 20 Atheists (pic related) to see what I mean. You will quickly realize why they changed the name from the original title of One Christian vs Twenty Athiests...)

Again, this wouldn't even be as bad as it is if it weren't for the fact that he tweets at random people telling them how it would be a pleasure to beat them to a pulp for making shitposts about his daughter's son, but then in the next breath cry on national television after being asked one question.

People are tired of this previously absolutely surgically bleeding edge intellect becoming more of an unstable borderline grandstander at times, due to basically his entire mainstream platform being telling people how to live their lives, when he can barely keep his shit together. Again, I feel for him, but it is what it is.
