Matchmaking was always a self-correcting issue in any game with significant max player counts. Pubstomping is just as enjoyable as forming lasting rivalries with opposing pubstompers in your community. A majority of low-skill players on either team means they can still have fun killing each other and maybe even get one over on the skilled players. Players leaving as they wish means fags who care enough about getting pubstomped can eventually just switch teams. SBMM exists to A) streamline multiplayer gaming for literal mouthbreathing retards and B) control your experience to drive engagement/push MTX. Believing that the developers are matching you with opponents at an even skill level out of the kindness of their hearts means you have drank the Kool-Aid and are irredeemable.
