Well, depends on what you expect. The anime/manga doesn't focus on the action aspect of the story, despite having a few action moments here and there; instead, if focuses more on the human relations, the appreciation for life and its elements, that sort of thing.

That being said, it maintains a similar formula throughout the entire series, so you decided if it's to your liking or not. Personally, I like it a lot. It's kinda artsy without being annoying or full of itself.

Yeah, it sucks, but as they say, don't be sad it's over, be glad that it happened... eventually another nice story will come, too.
You can reread or rewatch it years later, when you want to remember the details and all.
