I understand the essence of that image and do agree somewhat
the problem is, boomers are by and large retarded, and did fucking awful jobs on everything. easy money meant even people with simian IQs could afford to pour foundations, do framing, run electrical and plumbing, whatever, and convince themselves they knew exactly what they were doing because their slapped together work didn’t spontaneously combust
people are generally too stupid to be trusted to do even basic tasks, and this unforgiving authoritarian attitude is the only way the state can push back. even then it’s hardly effective.
I can’t help but think there has to be a better way. but even Uncle Ted said that any system of governance with 500+ participants requires authoritarianism to sustain itself. or something to that effect
