I use iPad, but don't think it really matters which one you get as long as it's one of the ones with the Apple chip, for longer support. Not sure if there's some limitation with the Apple Pencil versions and iPad versions, you can check in the store. Just get also some paperlike cover for the display and you're good to go.

Don't know about the pricing limitation though. I'd guess you should get some older iPad for that price range

I sound like an Apple shill now, fuck Apple for the most part. I just don't have experience with other tablets and don't mind if someone can recommend other tablets. The drawing experience has been very good on the iPad though
