Yeah, that seems more like an artistic rendition, but actual burn scars aren't usually discolored; they're more coarse and melty, or if they're discolored, it's because melanin has been lost rather than turning purple and scabby. Like, clearly the result of skin liquifying and reshaping in the wrong term. Pic related being what I think is a relatively attractive burn victim.
