Ignore everything else. Just look at nu-Maria. She has wonky inhuman proportions. She's sitting in a strange awkward uncomfortable position. The only parts animated are her lips and eyes while the rest of her body is limp. It's just jank, ugly, and cheap.

Yes, that is 100% the original game as it shipped before patches. One of the first things patched was to reduce Maria's gigantic noggin. No one noticed or cared during the entire development cycle.
