I don't run but early morning walks and being able to enjoy things while it's quiet seems like a good idea.
Only ever visited for 2 days nearly a decade ago backpacking and don't really remember anything much other than crazy traffic even as a pedestrian, a few nice restaurants. Think I went to Bue Vien and got drunk with some Austrian from my hostel both nights but looking at the map can't tell if that was it.
Will be working while there but can manage a fair bit of time off in between, keen to get around and not waste it.
Looking at some of the other districts and they seem to have a lot more soul. Thinking I'll check out D5 for a day.
Thinking maybe go to the coast for a weekend too but I've never heard of the places close by, might try a Vũng Tàu trip by hydrofoil, looks comfy as long as it stays above water
