I had a look at the check a trade website's guide earlier but when it got to the diagram and started mentioning all the different parts and shit I gave up mentally. Suppose I could at least take the top off the cistern later and see what's happening inside.

Cheers I will have a look later on. I just don't want to meddle with something and then suddenly water is skooshing out from some pipe or hose somewhere. If it's between that and flushing the toilet using the bucket for a few months I'll use the bucket (to flush, not poo in).
