It has the pacing issue that anime has, where 70+ percent of the dialogue involves the characters saying good morning, commenting on the weather, saying "eeuuuuah?," and generally being so retarded that it has the effect of stretching out absolutely every scene. Long story short, there is too much time wasting fluff that would be better spent on moving along the story or developing characters.
