Anybody ever read while playing slower games?
>reading the Anabasis of Cyrus while playing Imperator and waiting for something to happen
>reading short pulp like Solomon Kane or Conan when I'm playing Sailwind and tacking close to the wind (going really fucking SLOW)
I'll also do the overland travel mod for >>715134454 the one that lets you speed up foot travel, adds actual variation to the 3d terrain, and the one that lets your horse follow roads. Reading Don Quixote while I zip from town to town across the massive open landscape and occasionally veer off for an adventure/random encounter is supremely comfy.
I guess I like to break up two slower activities with each other, but it's also about supporting the mood and aesthetic and it elevates the experience of both. I just wonder if anyone else does the same and if so, why?
