There are no real classes in spurdo car, only target performance windows that you have to at least pretend your car fits in. GTE only died because the market could not support GTE and GT3 becoming practically the same thing.

GT2 is basically a modernized version of early GT3 before it became super aero heavy and expensive for no good reason because under the old economic rules GT3 would have killed itself years ago.
