side note, IndyCar tickets are a way better bang for the buck compared to NHL games. Saturday AND Sunday tickets at Road America are about the same cost as somewhat decent seats (not on the glass but not in the nosebleeds) at the Xcel Energy Center. for a game that lasts like 2 hours.

I miss when IndyCar at Road America had better support races. you'd have stuff like Pirelli World Challenge (now GTWC America, they have their own RA weekend now), Mazda MX-5 Cup or Trans-Am. now it's just the Road to Indy, Radical Cup, and Vintage Indy (parading around but not actually racing)

it's a mess, yeah they work together on regulations for LMH/LMDh/GT3/GT4 but WEC, IMSA, and SRO are all competing for market share, especially that sweet gentleman driver money. and in Asia SRO also competes with Super GT GT300 and Super Taikyu.

tl;dr: new GT2 is a gentleman driver track toy and it will not replace GT3 as the top GT class for pro/pro-am sports car racing. Ratel should have picked a different name.
