Pseud. All of the game's retardation is brewed out of how Caesar is written. There wasn't anything to be gained from the Legion being designed to larp Rome so hard, it just makes them a massive meme, makes all of their characters seem like massive retards, and somehow manages to suspend belief more than Deathclaws and Super mutants do.

The Legion should have been styled out of Native American cultures, the much more obvious train of thought being "Western Civilization and that failed, so lets give this thing that died in it's cradle a try instead". Particularly since those cultures were adapted to thrive in the harsh american interior in the first place. If you think Western Culture was fucked why the hell would going back to the roots of almost all western culture would change anything? When half the the game is references to "Cowboys vs Indians", why the fuck would you make the Indians "Roman" when the much simpler and more thematically correct option is staring you directly in the face and is infinitely easier to explain and far less aesthetically stupid?
