> but, I always assumed that the giant arrowhead sword found in the ruins of star falls past is what those giant titans in the ground (Caelid and the mountaintops) had used
Agreed 100%. It's almost like the devs knew we were desperate for something on them and gave us the forges and their items to help us piece things together
I believe Nameless Singer has the best video so far on the connection between the old giants and the astrologers. She posits that they were either the same culture as, or cohabitated in Rauh. The best evidence for this is the Forge of the Giants sitting on Rauh/black-stone pillars, and the 1.0 name for Founding Rain of Stars being called Goliath's Rain of Stars, Goliath being a 'giant' in the bible who fought King David in his youth

Yeah Hornsent have a lot of old testament feel to them. Marika coming in with her golden tree that heals people could be read as Jesus being a part of the jewish faith group, but eventually spurned by and spurning them in turn. Because they made the burden on the people harder than they should have, and created rules and regulations for things that didn't need them. They became cruel while cultivating their divinity, then an 'empyrean' comes in and tells them how it's done, and then demonstrates it, all while they scramble to stamp it out
I feel like the Hornsent could be both first and second temple, as well as Babel depending on how you read it. The altars of light and shadow in old ruins seem newer than Rauh, but Older than Enir Ilim. To me this points to proto Hornsent society
The Fell God even acts as their satan figure. Perhaps the ancient giants did something bad to the Hornsent, and that led to their demonization
Oh almost forgot, the spiral design of pillars is called 'Solomonic' so the first/second temple idea is literally built in too
