Yeah it's tempting to discuss the issues with the DCEU individually but it's also unnecessary since the answer is always the same
>why didn't they release the extended version of BVS since it was the vastly better film?
Because Warner Brothers was a failing company run by literally, unironically, completely insane retards
>why did they let Whedon reshoot half of the Justice League movie when every new scene required them to awkwardly CGI over Cavill's face and they could have just used the footage Snyder already shot?
Because Warner Brothers was a failing company run by literally, unironically, completely insane retards
>Why did they refuse to make a solo Batfleck film but greenlit a solo Batman film starring Pattinson which came out while Affleck was still playing Batman in other movies and so had competing versions of the same character overlapping with each other?
Because Warner Brothers was a failing company run by literally, unironically, completely insane retards
>Why did they spend tens of millions on a Batgirl movie which was 100% finished and then just never released it?
Because Warner Brothers was a failing company run by literally, unironically, completely insane retards
>Why didn't they just use the Flash's magic multiverse asspull plot to soft reboot the DCU if they were unhappy with it and instead kept changing their mind about what they were trying to even accomplish with it until they finally released it after announcing that the entire DCEU was dead without even finishing it resulting in it being a massive flop?
Because Warner Brothers was a failing company run by literally, unironically, completely insane retards
>Why did they wait five fucking years to make an Aquaman sequel and constantly fuck with the director when the first movie was an enormous hit and the most successful DC film?
Because Warner Brothers was a failing company run by literally, unironically, completely insane retards
I could go on but you get the drift

I find it weird that people don't acknowledge this basic truth and just pin the entirety of the DCEU on Snyder when all the major problems began after he was forced out.
Yeah, >>211971820 >>211971887 you can argue about how much *more* money these films could or should have made but Everything from Man of Steel up through BVS was profitable and the DCEU in general was doing well. You can say
>the first movie featuring the two biggest super heroes in history, fell well short of a billion.
I could just as easily point out the first movie featuring one of the less popular super heroes in history (Aquaman), *did* make a billion. And Wonder Woman, which Snyder was clearly heavily involved in, also did better than most people expected.
Multiple DCEU films overperformed and the one that was a supposedly huge disappointment still made $900 million worldwide. That's hardly a disaster. But almost literally everything after Snyder left was. They even managed to kill all enthusiasm for the Aquaman sequel which should have basically been easy money. It was like someone flipped a switch. Snyder is a edgelord who should not be allowed to write his own scripts but he didn't kill the DCEU. Warner Brothers did.
All they had to do was let him finish Justice League as the 2 parter it was supposed to be, greenlight the Batfleck movie and MOS sequel and let Snyder oversee the Wonder woman and Aquaman sequels like he did with the first films and they'd still be the Pepsi to Marvel's Coke. Instead they decided good wasn't good enough and they probably lost 3 or 4 billion in potential revenue, had to start completely over and are now staring into the abyss. It was corporate malpractice like we've rarely seen
