Pumpkin and ginger.
A surprisingly interesting fragrance in which you truly perceive both the sweetness of pumpkin and the spicy zest of ginger—a sweet and spicy contrast that evokes mustard without that “jammy” texture. It’s bright and invigorating, like an electric shock that gets you moving; complex like a blend of ripe vegetables and almost “edible” without veering into gourmand territory, irresistibly captivating even though it’s not a perfume I would personally wear. In the background you can detect herbaceous notes of pungent, freshly picked garden spices, which heighten its intensely spicy character; every facet of pumpkin—what you love and what you don’t—is here, in that balance of sweet and savory, of spice and starchiness. In my opinion it doesn’t recall gingerbread because it doesn’t smell like bread: it’s neither gentle nor comforting, it doesn’t invite hugs but rather a slight state of alertness; someone who wore this scent might seem a bit eccentric but undoubtedly interesting to spend time with. It’s a memorable essence, perhaps musky, perhaps ambered or vegetal, rich, complex, and almost annoyingly cheerful—like an exuberant woman passionate about a rustic lifestyle, devoted to all things natural, wearing Crocs and collecting crystals, or like the smell of the pantry where grandma’s preserves and garden vegetables are stored. It certainly isn’t a “clean” fragrance, nor is it relaxing, but it has a bold, original personality that’s easy to appreciate, even though it isn’t “sexy” in the traditional sense: it’s feminine, lively, self-assured, lighthearted, and playful.

Zucca e zenzero.
Una fragranza sorprendentemente interessante in cui percepisci davvero sia la dolcezza della zucca sia il brio piccante dello zenzero, un contrasto dolce e speziato che richiama la mostarda ma senza quella consistenza “confettosa”. È luminosa e vivificante, come una scossa elettrica che ti mette in moto, complessa come una miscela di ortaggi maturi e quasi “commestibile” senza sfociare nel mangereccio, oltremodo avvincente pur essendo un profumo che personalmente non indosserei. Sullo sfondo si avvertono note erbacee di spezie pungenti appena raccolte dall’orto, che ne accentuano il carattere piccantissimo; tutte le sfaccettature della zucca – ciò che ti piace e ciò che non ti piace – sono qui, in quell’equilibrio di dolce e salato, di piccantezza e amilosità. A mio avviso non ricorda il pan di zenzero perché non sa di pane: non è né gentile né rassicurante, non ispira abbracci ma piuttosto un leggero stato di allerta; chi profumasse così sarebbe forse un po’ bizzarro, ma di sicuro interessante da frequentare. È un’essenza memorabile, forse muschiata, forse ambrata o vegetale, ricca, complessa e quasi fastidiosamente allegra, come una donna esuberante appassionata di uno stile di vita rustico, amante di tutto ciò che è naturale e genuino e che indossa le crocs e colleziona cristalli, o come il profumo della stanza delle conserve e delle verdure dell’orto della nonna. Di certo non è “pulita” come fragranza, né rilassante, ma ha una personalità audace, originale e facilmente apprezzabile, pur non essendo sexy nel senso tradizionale: è femminile, vivace, sicura di sé, spensierata e giocosa.
