I struggle with backgrounds too, the best tip I've recieved for them is to try to prompt absolutely everything you think you might end up seeing, but even then I still end up having to do a lot of stylus work for them as well most of the time. Editing backgrounds on the t2i output helps a LOT, don't underestimate it.
