It's a neat source book with cool classes and subclasses, but it's a shit rule book if you sit down and look at the changes they added
>removed personality/flaws section entirely
>ASI tied to background
>all feats are half feats
>hiding
>passive perception is so vague as to not exist
>humanoids are extinct?
seriously, go look at any of the previous animal/monster humanoids. Fucking lizardmen are elementals now.
but there are also good changes
>subclasses at 3rd for everyone would have prefere if everyone got them at 1st but the new book even states that yoiu should skip 1-3 for returning players as its a tutorial
>weapon masteries
they're cool
>feats
most have been altered and a few of them for hte better.
>grappling tied to unarmed strikes
because now you can grapple as a reaction
>grappled condition
>While you have the Grappled condition, you experience the following effects.
>Speed 0. Your Speed is 0 and can't increase.
>Attacks Affected. You have Disadvantage on attack rolls against any target other than the grappler.
>Movable. The grappler can drag or carry you when it moves, but every foot of movement costs it 1 extra foot unless you are Tiny or two or more sizes smaller than it.
