(idk the drawing is funky I'll learn eventually)
“Anyway, I’ll take my leave now. Keep resting, alright? You’ll get to see your troop thrive again,” you say, trying to sound like a nice guy. Which does land since generally, you’ve been a great guy since you got here. Chimp murder aside.
Remu tugs at your arm. “C’mon Boss, I think you’re going to love this.” You follow her out of the hut, having to speedwalk to match her excited pace. She’s almost hopping from one foot to the other as she saunters to the big rock next to the Boss’s hut.
“Uh, so what exactly are we looking for, Remu?” She finishes climbing the rock before you are even done voicing your question.
“No-No said I should come here and then…” she looks upwards to the sun, then to a hut. “Look north. Okay, I see it now, come on!” She slides down the rock and runs off.
You keep up, thankfully you’re at least mediocre in every stat now. Though it’s uncertain if you want to specialize or be a jack-of-all-trades, at least you don’t suck more than the Average Joe at anything.
Remu and you are already into the woods when you spot what she’s looking for. It’s a rock. Strangely shaped, sure, but just a rock. About as tall as your waist.
“Please tell me the treasure is just buried here or something, and we don’t have to keep playing off-brand Indiana Jones and the Lost Monkey Book.”
She completely ignores you and starts digging around the rock. “Getting used to me saying stuff you don’t understand?”
“Yeah. I figure you don’t mind if I get it, but it makes you feel better so…”
“That’s surprisingly insightful,” you mumble. It does make this entire situation a lot easier to deal with when you take the edge off with crappy references and bad humor.
After noticing how much time you’ve been wasting, you kneel down and start digging alongside her.
