You DO however still get "stronger", and there are unused kill animations for every enemy in the game where you turn them into red dust.

My current gut feeling is that you must loop at least once for Kris to understand what's really at stake here. By making him [STRONGER] you ensure that his memories can escape erasure and he restarts the loop understanding that [YOUR] cruel machinations are ultimately for the best
