Yeah, this rings a bell. Ventrue have good RPG tools with Presence and Dominate and Fortitude makes you threat with guns. And aside from having to quick-load the Xiao fight an unseemly number of times I probably had more fun with my Ventrue playthrough than my Gangrel one, since much more of the game was open for a (socially adept) Ventrue's taking.
And it's a cool clan! You don't have to be the stuck-up rich kid the archetypes make them out to be.
