These statements are hopeful but you got to realize that these people are rats and will change their stance the second they get offered enough money, get ready for a year of constant lobbying by the big developers to try their best to not let this petition make it into law.
Take into account that companies don't want you playing games after they die, because first you aren't going to pay for microtransactions, if it's offline you are probably going to be able to mod the game and unlock everything and also if you are playing a shutdown game then that's bad for the companies because you aren't playing the most recent goyslopniggertrannysimulator which is what they want you to do, that's why the kill older games that have healthy playerbases.
Don't have high hopes and don't expect to pass into a law before 2027 or 2028, we don't even know if it will be retroactive so that it affects games that are currently alive or if it only will affect games released after the law is passed, so it might not even apply to TFD.
