I met my wife through cheating. She used to date my best friend, and the two of us became close friends because of it.

One day she told me in private that she was miserable with him and that he was mentally abusive. It came as a complete sureprise to me because he had always been a good friend to me. She told me that she was afraid of breaking up with him because she was afraid she would lose me at the same time. We kissed and hugged but never fucked. She broke up with him about a month later and he told us he never wanted to see either of us again. It was very emotionally taxing because I do love her and never wanted to jeopardize any of our relatio ships. He and I are no longer friends but he still writes to her on occasion.
