a standardized steam deck enviroment forces developers' hand into optimizing their games for lower-end hardware
this thing will instead give devs expectation that hardware will just keep rapidly advancing so it's fine if they can't play it now, in 10 years rog bog xbox dog 64000 will easily crunch boobies of light 5 at 720p 24fps so no need to bother
and that is exactly what microsoft is doing with this one, they are pissing in steam's cereal
and they also very deliberately didn't include any touchpads or gyro, to further consolify the pc space
