This idea that these two individuals are deeply fascinated with one another and seek to learn more about the other.
That Gaster sought out (you) and wanted to connect (you) to his Deltarune. He believes in you and wants to see you subvert a predetermined ending.
Both of you are drawn to this game and it's characters, both of you want to see if a new outcome is possible. You are creating a new future....together.
This relationship is a bit tragic though, as you cannot physically meet beyond the screen. He is just code and you are real, you can leave the computer anytime. But even as time goes on and you find new interests, you will never forget him. Your love for eachother transcends physics, it goes beyond time and space.
