Oh boy, not even 24 hours passed since I beaten Shadow Gens and I'm noticing all the plot holes from the ending.
>Classic Sonic & Tails were perfectly fine and dandy after Time Eater was destroyed, but somehow Gerald and Maria were sent back to their time periods after Black Doom's destruction for a reason that's poorly done in hopes of having a bittersweet ending when it doesn't make sense at all in terms of canon
>Considering Classic Sonic & Tails were aware of their future and managed to create a alternative timeline where Mania happens, doesn't the same apply to Maria and Gerald? Nothing states they'll forget the events of Shadow Generations so ultimately this causes a new timeline that likely prevented their deaths since Gerald will likely inform the Shadow of their timeline all of this new information.
I don't want to blame shit on Ian Flynn since he's a punching bag nowadays, but he's likely the one who wrote this.
