The reason I'm asking is because I know they have these public swap stations in asia and this may be a reason they may stick with form factor and just upgrade the technology. I don't expect to have the scooter for that long probably, just something to think about. Maybe it will hold resale value better if the most fearful aspect of EVs is mitigated by easy swap.

At some point all those sold scooters will require a battery refresh. They may start offering it with different tech if it would make sense for their subscription business model. AFAIK the battery is owned by Honda, scooter is owned by you and you pay a subscription for certain amount of energy.

I think they have swap stations in India and other asian countries too. Energy density and/or weight are specifically reason why I asked because there are some technologies on the horizon. Of course the power train would remain the same. Would love to see wider industry standardisation, after all we agreed on AAs, USB, etc.
