The abyss lists fluctuate a lot. Unlike Rune and Sword that are settling pretty solidly into their heavily supported lists, Abyss is still coping a bit with some filler. A lot of their mana curves are also really fucking greedy since they have poor card draw and need to depend on just hard topdecking value in the late game.
The decks generally abandon 1-drops in favor of preserving that slot for Coco/Mimi on the cerberus turn. Generally they want to generate a skeleton as a 0pp "reanimate 1" candidate so charon can get out more wards. The 2 drops are generally some mi of Ghastly soiree, Phildau, Mino, and Orthus. Vuella and/or apollo help keep your head above water in the early/mid game. Healing sources like Ceres/cerb/Ginsetsu are needed to keep up out of Albert/Gundam OTK range. General gameplan is to just try to grind out the opponent's resources with minimal evo point consumption. Just keep throwing down bombs in turns 7+ and hopefully the opponent finally chokes.
Charon is a bit on thin ice because the overall quality of what she reanimates isn't that great on curve. She can get a bit of a value spike in the late game. For example Mukan+Charon on turn 9+ provides a bunch of bane wards. Charon + zombie is a bit of an obnoxious ward. Charon+ a bunch of skeletons that were in hand can flood the board with wards. Charon can reanimate coco/mimi and one-tailed fox in the turn 9/10 ranges.
People occasionally toy with running Darkseal demon for card draw, or the bullet guy for more removal, but the 2-HP self damage is really dicey with Albert being able to casually swing 12.
I haven't toyed around with winged servants, but I've thought about it. It would give the deck a stronger early game and earlier healing while providing charon with a reanimation 1 target, but it potentially screws over cerberus SEVO and a dependable cerb SEVO turn saves this deck's ass a lot.
