I feel as though all people have been Fred or had a nearly Fred moment at one moment in life.
Just trying to do what we want and maybe get ahead but life unreasonably fires back at us. Maybe we dodge it but recognize how close it was if we're lucky. And thank God for those moments.
That said
Fred actually gave them good material. I thought his line "I guess that's why we don't pay the cheerleaders" had potential, but they had predetermined they would take the lazy route with this sketch and repeat the formula.
