I don't speak for myself but... really bad players feel like they aren't being such a drag on the rest of the group's damage if they are dancer because they can partner a geared melee DPS who knows how to play and make up for it. Even if they are terrible at dancer(somehow) if they can use tech and devilment together on CD it's a big contribution to the raid DPS.
Or they are a bit subby and wanna feel like they are supporting other players and enjoy the gratitude/attention they get for it.
I like watching my character dancing in the outfits and glams I have. But if I partner someone and they suck then it feels like I am trolling the group so I'll swap to MCH or something unless I can change roles.
