Lately I've been wearing a cotton blend tshirt under a loose cotton button up. The loose shirt keeps the sun off my skin and the base shirt keeps the outer shirt largely free of sweat and prevents the sweat from causing the loose shirt to stick to my skin. If I'm working on something in the shade I'll take the sun shirt off or roll up the sleeves. I'm also used to layering in the woods because a durable outer layer protects from branches, thorns, and biting insects. I habitually wear boots and long pants in hot weather, though sometimes I'll wear shorts if I know I won't need to worry about thorns and biting insects.

Winter is my comfy season, which is why I'm approaching the equatorial Sun with caution.

I usually wear a large-tall or extra-large in American shirt sizes. I don't anticipate having a lot of options over there and figure it's best to get mostly sorted out before I go.
