Even assuming there's a "Chara" inside Kris that wants to be free, wants to get stronger, wants to avoid responsibility for their actions, it doesn't mean that's what Kris "really" wants. There's a part of you that enjoys every bad decision you've made and every dark fantasy you've ever indulged in, it doesn't mean you don't regret them or you'd ever act on those thoughts on your own.
And beyond that point, as of Chapter 4 it's been made very clear that following through with the Weird Route is something WE are forcing Kris to do and Kris absolutely does not want it to happen, to the point of trying to undo what we did between Chapters and becoming more hostile to us for the rest of the game if we force ourselves onto Noelle.
