Gov't shouldn't prohibit free adult citizens from the possession of any pharmaceutical or natural substance. You were granted freedom to explore the Earth and partake in any of its natural flora & fauna by the Almighty Himself, and a gov't by & for free people cannot restrict such natural rights.
I agree that noxious narcotics should not be bought & sold as a part of national industry, and the import of deleterious preparations of drugs should be regulated by authorities. But the absolute prohibition of personal production & use of any substance is tyrannical in the basic presumptions of human rights such laws would demand.
