I've always been a super sentimental person relative to my parents even, like I remember being upset when my Dad threw out his old Civil Air Patrol uniform in storage, like, "Why would you do that?". That sentimentality with some sort of tangible proof is important to me, and what's fueled my love of data preservation, particularly in the gaming sphere. Everyone should be preserving what's important to them before it's gone for good. One of the joys of life is being able to discuss good memories over an experience you both shared. More than anything, it's proof beyond just qualia of how the world was objectively better, happier, and healthier just 20 years ago. Don't let it be erased, it didn't use to be like this.
