so get this
I've now installed W11 IoT LTSC 2024
and these fucking wifi drivers STILL will not install
I'm not even going to use wifi during the entire life of this stupid fucking computer
BUT THE MOTHERBOARD WAS ADVERTISED WITH WIFI CAPABILITY
THE SHIT SHOULD WORK

I have tried almost everything I can find in forums searches
>updated bios to latest version
>CMOS reset my motherboard and then made sure it was still up to date
>made sure wifi/BT controller is set to auto in bios
>run the driver installer as admin
>made sure all other drivers were up to date
what's maddening is that the bluetooth shit WORKS
the bluetooth and wifi are handled by the SAME FUCKING DEVICE (Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 Dual Bluetooth Adapter)
and yet for some reason only the bluetooth shit works
oh yeah and I even tried to use MSI Center

>the only available download isn't even a driver, it's just a download of Norton 360 security software
worse than useless
fuck you MSI

the only option I have left (at least based on forum posts I read) is to try installing the most up to date version of consumer W11 possible because maybe these special snowflake drivers only work on the absolute latest spyware

after that the only remaining avenue would be putting in an RMA request and getting it replaced
BUT I DONT WANT TO TAKE THE STUPID THING APART
IT WAS A BIG ENOUGH PAIN IN THE ASS SQUEEZING ALL THAT SHIT IN IN THE FIRST PLACE

but again
I only use ethernet anyway
no matter where I end up living I will always be able to spare an ethernet connection for my desktop
this is essentially a non-issue
and hell if I do need wifi I could always buy a non-retarded wifi card
BUT I ALREADY PAID FOR A MOTHERBOARD WITH BUILT IN WIFI
