Max was so much more powerful than Monica and it's not even close. Monica's sword hit for decent damage, but her ranged attack was slow as shit. Her monster transformation was practically useless (although cool in concept) and not even the endgame dungeon could level her forms at a decent pace.

If you can find one. Works fine on an emulator, though. It's definitely worth playing. They rebuilt the engine to fix a lot of the jank the original has. Still has a bit of jank, but it's less of a kick in the balls
