Fundamentally it was a lot of the exact same problems that Dawntrail had.
>creator's pet OC takes the center stage, everything focuses around her, she's the most important person in the story despite actually not doing much at all besides willpower hold-outs
>old lore gets "updated" (aka overwritten) with new stuff that drastically changes the tone and style of what came before (aka the blue mage quests kind of clash with DT, the Zero arc is basically an overwrite of nearly everything with Void stuff)
>it's effectively running around in circles doing an epilogue wrap-up of Endwalker AND throwing another "threaten the world" plot really fucking awkwardly at the most silly of times after what we've been through; the entire thing literally boils down to "once the protag gets the opportunity to do a direct fight it's a curbstomp" as an afterthought and obvious result than a true climax, the same in DT
The only reason some people look on it better is because Zero was not fucking terrible, just boring compared to the shonen boke retard routine.
