Yea the real kicker for me was Jet- we KNOW Katara’s type and it’s not Aang, so to say she just wasn’t interested in romance cause of the war or whatever in the beginning sounds like bullsh*t- she really just did not like Aang, Katara was just too dominant and independent for me to buy her taking Aang as a romantic partner seriously- the writers really overplayed their hand revealing Jet because it instantly resonated in the viewers minds the type of guys Katara is into- so why wouldn’t they get attached to Zutara when Zuko is pretty much an updated version of Jet without all the baggage by the time he and Katara have their 2nd solo episode? Just bad execution on all fronts there
