I'm not one that's superficial about looks. I remember the backlash Simu Liu got from asian audiences for not looking handsome enough as Shang Chi. To me I found such critique unwarranted and petty. But in the case of Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm. I find myself calling the kettle black. He's not ugly but he is definitely average in terms of looks alone. Where as Johnny has been known to be a handsome hotshot. It also doesn't help that he's following in the steps of Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan both of whom are the Hollywood archetypal attractive male.
