That's a great way of describing it. When I first went through Chapter 3 and started playing the real game, I was hit with this deep sense of doing something wrong but needing to see what was on the other side, especially whenever the music stopped. It felt tangibly bad - Kris standing in the room before the big monitor by themselves, shadow cast by the screen. Finding the Ice Key only sent that feeling into overdrive.
The Egg Room in 4 feels like falling into a memory by mistake. Less a space, more a time long buried. It's hard to describe, but for all the creepypasta bullshit Noelle gets up to, Toby's proven he can do it in a way that leaves you a little creeped out, but mostly intrigued and wanting more.
