Genuinely I can't fathom the concept of playing with an already existing troupe. Like you can make guardsman from any place in the galaxy you want but people just settle down for cadians? If kitbashing is a problem hindering originality just play necrons or marines and a simple paint scheme are entirely new guys.

Micro codexes. Including marine ones. Their scans are also super easy to find so I don't see any reason to complain about "muh money I don't wanna buy too many a codex"
