I'm not even close to the countryside, but for me, not only it's beautifuly composed and played music (vocal harmonies, fiddles, pedal steel, twangin' Telecaster), classic country strikes me as humble, non-pretentious and honest music. I have yet to meet anyone normal that doesn't like these songs when they listen to them.
