At it's core it was a really good idea and accomplished most of what it was trying to do but it spent too little on certain plot threads and too long on others. It would have been nice to get a more competent team working on composition and script writing.
The whole clan battle thing could have probably been written out in favor of just "new type senses" to have machu meet shuuji
