The leaves on Anne's hair are used as a running gag; they even made a self-aware joke about this in the season 1 reunion, where Sasha and Anne are seen wearing a bathrobe after they took a shower, and a few minutes later, the leaves appeared again on Anne's hair, and on top of that, Anne goes back to wearing just one shoe and just her sock on the other again. Anne has always been hygienic and clean at all times. Even the Amphibian in Wartwood is seen taking a bath with soap and shampoo.
