Wrong again, KnYspic. And Wikipedia is also wrong. Dragon Ball is not worth a measly $9B (lmao) and Demon Slayer isn't worth $9B either. UltimatePopCulture, unlike Wikipedia, actually cites individual revenue categories, has per-stream breakdowns, and includes franchises that Wikipedia list mysteriously leaves out, like One Piece and Naruto. The Visual Capitalist chart (see picrel) uses that data and aggregates it across sources, and openly declares the source and scope of each figure.
The Wikipedia article was also previously vandalized, is full of estimates like "DB $9B" (false), and doesn't even show how the revenue was calculated. Bandai alone pulled in ¥144.5 billion (~$1.1B) in DB merch revenue between 2016-2023 and Dokkan Battle alone pulled in $3.5B. DB is one of Toei's top 3 revenue pillars year after year followed by OP and Toei announced OP now makes more money for them than DB.
The $9B figure doesn’t even scratch the surface of game revenue, home video, global licensing, and card sales. Dragon Ball is estimated to be worth $31.6B or possibly more, surpassing Gundam. One Piece is worthy of around $24.8B and Naruto is worthy of around $17B. Wikipedia's $9B is just someone pulling from a half-baked pie chart and pretending it's gospel.
Demon Slayer is nowhere near as worthy as Dragon Ball, Naruto or One Piece.
