Its about reflecting its core which is more nihilistic look on the isekai genre as a whole. The MC isn't OP, broken or get extremely useful cheat skills at the start and has to struggle with minimal magic powers in a fantasy land that is foreign to him and the moody tones that really reflect back upon the story telling. Plus the more darker parts are definitely this vibe more than yours and there's more dark than there is light in Re;Zero Kara.
