"wokeness" was literally never the problem and only terminally online retards in echo chambers believed it was. the issue is and always has been the death of B/C tier games with B/C tier budgets. indie games exist partially to fill that hole, but major publishers and studios making every single title some AAA game regardless of whether or not it even has any preexisting fanbase or is a brand new IP is whats killing the industry more than anything. concord being a brand new IP didnt need a $500 billion dollar budget just like marathon, the first "entry" into dormant series in like 30 years, didnt need a multi hundred dollar budget. same with perfect dark. it would be like microsoft putting a billion dollars into reviving Blinx the time sweeper and then wondering why they didnt make a profit
