I wish more fics did that regarding Sunny. It feels like a reasonable and sad development for him. On top of Sunny already having been a spacey kid, having lived in Headspace for so long means he's probably not going to be all there even after recovering.
And looking at the Release Energy image again, it probably is Mr. Plantegg being afraid of the knife. His eyes are looking right at it.
