>do you happen to have a quick reference on-hand to refer begs to introductory courses/books/quick guides on figure, gesture etc, anything relating to drawing bodies? because I've had a look around and I have absolutely no idea where to begin, even the basic videos seem to be farther ahead than what I'm familiar with
or would you suggest beginning with zero knowledge on the topic just to get familiar with the idea of it? I've never even drawn a wireframe skeleton made of straight lines, so this is absolute prebeg territory for me
not with zero knowledge / guidance no... but the necessary "theory" that is needed to get a good start on figure drawing is pretty low in my opinion
i dont have anything of that sort ready... there are famous courses from "old masters" of drawing that are being tossed around in these threads regularly, any of them are a good place to start. hampton, vilppu and so on, i cannot remember any of them because i never got into them :^)
you also cant go wrong with looking at proko's youtube channel and watch all videos / playlists about figure drawing and gesture drawing

figure drawing is practically all i do so none of that subject matter is compartmentalized as its own thing for me to recall accurately lol

if you simply want to see how an artist does figure drawing, this is a cozy stream by marco bucci that is as good as any starting point
